Margot Worthy

Coach Margot supports skaters to build skills and character via speed skating. She brings her positivity to Coach Keven’s skilled Matsqui coaching team, working collaboratively to help every skater thrive. Coach Margot is a Certified Level 2 US Speedskating Coach and joins Matsqui because “Coach Keven’s scaffolded program and everyone’s friendliness make skating fun.” Coach Margot, a former school teacher, began speedskating as an adult. Her curiosity drove her to learn the biomechanics, physics and health coaching principles that elevate skaters both at Matsqui and as Head Coach of Whatcom Speed Skating Club. Her love of speed skating is infectious: you’ll be hooked, too! Off the ice, she enjoys walking with her husband and their hilarious Jack Russell Terrier.
